Acceptance

Lecrae quoted- ‘If you live for people’s acceptance, you will die from their rejection ’.

In the midst of pleasing people, we forget the most vital approval, ‘the self-approval’. Everyone’s opinion has become so important but our own. Where did we leave ourselves? Why are we so scared to take a stand? We manipulate our statements to make people comfortable. This can be out of love, respect or mere social convention. But is your behavior being reciprocated by them? We always have answers to this question but we avoid the truth for their false approvals.
It’s not in our hand to change other’s perception but it is definitely in our hand to accept them by being indifferent.
 They have no clue how much they have hurt you but you know how painful it is.So stop pleasing them.
Jackson Brown says, ‘Don’t forget a person’s greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated’. You did your best to make them happy, but if they can’t see your efforts don’t let yourself down. Instead appreciate yourself for trying. Your intentions were pure. We don’t need to be perfect for others but we definitely need to be satisfied with our life. That comes from self-acceptance.
Explore yourself, your choice, your dreams, your goals, your actions and most importantly your soul. To be beautiful is to be you. The day  you find there are no regrets from past and you accept your present with a smile and dignity, is the day when you are prepared to overcome all the consequences of any misfortune. Acceptance is the key to soul’s happiness.

With unanswered questions,
I lost my destination;
So I chose a road to revive.
Solitude became my companion,
I fell in love with myself,
                Okay, I have learned to survive!
